The impact of the coronavirus epidemic on African-Americans Thirty percent of the people who became recognized as black or African American in unusual coronavirus cases in the United States were black or African American, despite the fact that black or African American people make up just about 13 percent of the U.S. population.

In Ohio, officials have labeled racism a public health emergency in the state’s most populous county.

That statement was made because unfavorable health outcomes have a detrimental impact on the black community. Lower life expectancy, a higher likelihood of dying young, higher infant mortality rates, and other factors all contribute to this.
